ABOUT DARNDALE BELCAMP VILLAGE CENTRE CLG
Darndale Belcamp Village Centre CLG was incorporated on 30th November 2001 for the purpose of managing the new Village Centre building and charged with the integration of services. We are currently funded under the Pobal Community Services Programme. Our Board of Directors is made up of 11 voluntary members with representation from the Statutory, Community and Commercial pillars. Darndale Belcamp Village Centre is located on the Northside of Dublin City in an area designated as disadvantaged. The Village Centre is a combination of integrated community services operating in and around a multi-purpose building in the heart of the community of Darndale and Belcamp.
We have a vision of Darndale where the physical environment is safe and clean, the local economy is strong and provides jobs and opportunities for local people, where people have confidence and a sense of pride in their community and where our services operate effectively for the good of all.
We believe in working towards this vision in a way that tackles as well as alleviates symptoms. We seek to break negative cycles through early intervention whilst working in partnership with others to identify needs and deliver solutions, either ourselves or with/through our partners. We believe in providing leadership for positive change and supporting leadership in others. We believe in being innovative and creative in our search for solutions to local problems. We believe in listening to and responding to the local community.
