Competency Skills: Labouring, Leadership, Problem Solving, Working on own Initiative.


Job Description & Skills Required:

The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on customer facing role with supervisory duties included.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for carrying out works to the highest of standards in the homes of older people while adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.

You will be expected to competently assess and quote works as requested by customers and assist the Project Co-ordinator to ensure accurate pricing of materials and costs associated with each job.

You will be responsible for carrying out works directly and for the day-to-day supervision of general operatives on-site.

You will be required to carry out an evaluation process at the end of each job to ensure customer satisfaction and refer back to the Project Manager upon completion.

About the Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be adaptable and have a can-do attitude with knowledge and experience in DIY, Home Maintenance, Painting/Decorating and Gardening. Specialist building/trade skills would be an advantage (Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical etc.)

Must be eligible for Community Services Programme

The Handy Helpers Service is specifically aimed at providing affordable home maintenance for older people; the successful candidate must be friendly, kind natured, caring and have strong empathy towards the needs of older people.
