The current level of community activity would be unsustainable without the employment programmes supported and managed by DBVC. These programmes have helped to enhance the development of several local organisations. All of the community groups with which DBVC CLG works in partnership, are playing a major role in the development of the community. If you would like to work with us, take a look at our current vacancies section.
DBVC CLG is supported under strand 2 of the Community Services Programme which is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administered by Pobal. The CSP funding model is expressed as a fixed annual co-funding contribution towards the costs of employing a manager and/or a specified number of full time equivalent positions (FTEs). More information on the CSP Programme can be found here.
DBVC CLG is a sponsoring agent for Community Employment (CE) and Job Initiative (JI) programmes which are funded by the Department of Employment Social Protection. Whilst on the programme, Darndale Belcamp Village Centre CLG encourages all participants to undertake training and up-skill to increase their chances of progressing to meaningful, permanent employment. Participants say they benefit from the work experience, the contacts made in work, the friendships they form with colleagues, the training received and the encouragement to plan their future and to seek work opportunities.
